In it’s 43rd year of business and disrupting the clean beauty marketplace, people are asking, “is Aloette a MLM or pyramid scheme?!”

I’m here to give you an honest answer.

Well- is it?! Is Aloette a Pyramid Scheme?

Aloette is one of the only direct to consumer companies that does not require recruiting to move up in the compensation plan.

You read that right- you don’t need to recruit anyone to earn higher profit margins here. No downline, no pyramid. Same opportunity.

Let me get this out of my system: by definition, a pyramid scheme has has no product- just people. I know they’re one in the same in many eyes, but you probably need to know that.

Can Aloette be multi level? Sure, of you want to flex your leadership muscle and get training/manager pay. Let me repeat myself, though: it’s not required to advance.

Sell at Retail

It’s up to you whether or not you want to run your Aloette business in a multi-level marketing fashion. You may decide you’re happy being a brand rep and choose to simply sell skincare for a commission much higher than standard affiliate programs. Great!

Once you hit $3000 in lifetime sales, you’ll move from 25% commissions to 30%! You can reach 35% commission rates on retail sales alone.

Many women do this, which contributes to 80% retail sales overall at Aloette.

This metric is important to consider if you are wary of a closed model of business. It means the majority of sales are being made in a retail fashion to the public- not to reps being their own customers.

Aloette has no quotas, minimums, website fees, or inventory requirements.

Will it help you to use products and make firsthand recommendations? Yes.

Is it fun to get high quality skincare and cosmetics you can write off on your taxes? Also, yes.

Do you need to stock your garage with eye cream and ship orders personally? Don’t you dare!

Build a team: optional

If you choose to grow your business and increase revenue by adding team members, you will receive pay commiserate with the outreach and training efforts you are putting in as well as a faster path to earning more commission.

This is completely up to you and a decision you can make after joining and getting some experience with the company.

From an income perspective, this is the best “long game” strategy. If you have a talent for developing and coaching people, the leadership systems in place at Aloette will help you exercise those gifts.

Personal commissions increase with rank advances. As you grow in rank, your profit margins for your personal sales improve and you’ll make a portion of revenue from your downline as a people manager.

Choose your Strategy

In both approaches, commission is made from every sale that goes through your rep website. The more you sell, the more you make.

If you have an additional people manager responsibility to your team, you’ll have a second stream of revenue in your Aloette business.

Some people choose to do parties (both online and in person), others choose to market Influencer style through social media or blogs and podcasts

Either way works – whatever generates the most traffic to your site resulting in sales.

So, is Aloette a MLM or pyramid scheme? Can be multi level- not required to succeed.
