Here are 4 ways to use Aloette Set + Shield. You’re gonna love this!

Set your makeup

This is the most obvious way to use it, right?

This lightweight Environmental Defense Makeup Setting Mist locks makeup into place, leaving behind a just-applied matte finish.

The multipurpose formula helps protect skin from environmental stressors, like pollution and daily grime, for a fresher and healthier-looking complexion with each use. 4 fl oz/120 ml

Guard against blue light

Just as blue light can impact your sleep cycle, it can also disrupt the circadian rhythm of skin cells. Your skin’s regenerative cycle can get thrown out of whack, potentially causing more skin damage over time, according to a study published in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science.

Research on how blue light affects your skin is ongoing, but what dermatologists know so far doesn’t look good.

One small, peer-reviewed study of the effects of blue light on the skin, published in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology in 2010, found that exposing skin to the amount of blue light we get from the sun caused more pigment, redness, and swelling than when the same person’s skin was exposed to comparable levels of UVA rays.

Another (very small) study published in Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity in 2015, suggested that exposure to blue light might stimulate the production of free radicals in skin, which can accelerate the appearance of aging.

The bottom line? The blue light effect on skin needs more research before we can draw any solid conclusions, though early evidence seems to suggest it has the potential to be damaging.

If they’re right, something like Aloette Set + Shield can protect you.

If they’re wrong? It’s an abundance of caution and you’ve prevented the next sore spot…

Prevent shiny face

For those whose complexion veers towards the perpetually slick side, setting sprays could, and should, be a standby staple.

Simply put, a few spritzes can mean the difference between a day-long battle with unwanted sheen and a beautiful complexion.

On days I don’t wear makeup (most of them!), I love Set + Shield so I don’t look like an oil slick.

Prevent maskne

When you sit back and think about, it’s quite easy to understand why face masks can breed an imperfect environment for our complexion. Mask acne is often cause by congestion and irritation.

When you wear a mask, all your coughing, sneezing and breathing is trapped under the clothe and on top of the skin. This can lead to redness and sensitivity coupled with the irritation of the straps rubbing against your face.

So what can you do? Ensuring that your face mask is properly washed and sanitized is the most important step.

Second, create a barrier! Aloette Set + Shield is exactly that and can be used by men, too (there’s no color).

How Do You Use It?

With eyes closed, hold the bottle 8-10 inches away from the face and evenly spray 2-3 pumps.

Reapply throughout the day to refresh the skin. Avoid direct contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
